Interfaith-Counseling.org was founded by Susan S. Needles, LCSW. It evolved out of her extensive and long-term work in the field of interfaith, interethnic and international counseling with couples and families who belong to these demographic groups. Susan Needles’ resume covers a wide range of experience in the field of interfaith:

  • Designed the Outreach Program for the Union of American Hebrew Congregations beginning in 1987, where for many years she led their couples workshops.

  • Serves as head consultant to the Interfaith Community (InterfaithCommunity.org). In addition she runs their workshops for interfaith couples.

  • Works with individual couples primarily in terms of their interfaith relationship and other couples issues when appropriate.

  • Currently facilitates workshops for Interfaith Couples at the 92nd St.Y (92Y.org).

  • Susan Needles has been a speaker on radio, has given papers at conferences, and has held group discussions in synagogues.

  • Most recently she performed the marriage ceremony for one of her interfaith couples who said, “You understand us like no one else.”
